Local artisan creations

This small boutique shop located in the historic part of Helsinki has existed since 1975 and was set up by a cooperative of craftspeople to promote local craft and design. Currently, the shop is run by the Pro Artisaani association and continues to promote around 50 local artisans with the main emphasis being on design. Here, you can find woven textiles, ceramics, jewellery, glass, knitwear and clothes made by master artisans like Paula Taipale, Ulla Fogelholm, Marika Niskanen, Eila Minkkinen and Anneli Sainio, just to name a few. The shop keeps its selection fresh and exciting by bringing in new work by young artisans and offering a small exhibition space for artisans to promote their work.
