Florentine silk fabric

Originally founded in 1786, Antico Setificio Fiorentino is one of the last remaining workshops for silk manufacturing in the world. Located in the heart of Florence’s historical San Frediano quarter, its hand-operated and semi-mechanical looms of the 18th and 19th century continue to weave dreams following Florentine tradition. The shop offers magnificent silk brocades, damasks, ermisino and passementerie woven in the adjacent workshop. The designs of the fabrics are guarded in the historical archive and, in addition to the designs already in production, others can be reproduced at the customer's request.
