Pick up a true Austrian classic

In 1949 Jochen and Marlen Tostmann started making dirndls, costumes and other craft objects with only a manual loom and an old sewing machine. Since then the business has grown and gained worldwide recognition. Within Austria, a Tostmann dirndl is now considered a true classic and a must-have item. Tostmann started its glorious journey in a little town called Seewalchen am Attersee. To make the dirndl more accessible to the Viennese, the company opened a flagship store and a little workshop in Vienna’s city centre in 1967. The shop is still in use today and continues to satisfy its Viennese customers.
