Showcasing the best of Czech design

The industrial appearance of the Vinohradský Pavilion, built in 1903, doesn't reflect the cosy contents of its second storey, which houses the design shop Modernista. On ascending the stairs, a vast space filled with armchairs, divans, chairs and tables emerges before your eyes. Modernista's flagship store focuses on furniture and exclusive replicas. The range includes pieces by famous Czech designers Jindřich Halabala, Pavel Janák, Vlastislav Hofman and Adolf Loos, First Republic tubular steel furniture, chic home accessories and restored originals. This showroom is one of four Prague outlets for Modernista, which has a 20-year tradition of offering the best of Czech design from the last 100 years.
