Showcasing a creative community

Inaugurated in 2019, the Centenary Palace Gama Lobo is the home of the Loulé Criativo project, which aims to enhance and promote the identity of this Algarve municipality. The driving forces behind the initiative are creativity and innovation. The project supports the training and activity of artisans and other people working in the creative sector, helping to revitalise the traditional arts and crafts and encourage new approaches to intangible heritage. It also offers a cultural programme, artistic residencies, and creative experiences for tourists focusing on unique aspects of the area's regional identity and heritage. Workshops are held in the building, where there is also a gallery and showroom of products made by the region's creative community of artisans and designers.
