Norwegian contemporary craft

Galleri Format Oslo was founded in 1991 by the Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts and is the leading gallery for contemporary crafts and design in Norway. The gallery is an exhibition and sales venue for the finest quality artistic pieces in the fields of ceramics, textiles, metal, jewellery and glass. Galleri Format aims to strengthen the position of Norwegian contemporary craft internationally. By working with both established and emerging artists, the gallery reflects the various tendencies in contemporary craft today and challenges established norms while highlighting key values in the field by actively bringing a wider spectrum of artistic practices in craft art to the fore.
