Show: Do you know what I mean?
During this show, named “Do you know what I mean?” the relationship between glass Masters and artists is explored. A selection of glass works by some Venetian or Venice based artists – who have a strong relationship with the glass masters they have been working with in Murano for years (like Zilio, Berengo, Giuman) – will be examined. The show explores the association between craftsmen and artists: the glass artworks are points of departure to go back to the creative process, surrounded by videos of the masters at work and interviews. How does the artist explain what he wants? What’s the very personal contribution of the artisan to the artistic outcome? Live talks between artists and artisans will be held in the gallery.

Beatrice Burati Anderson Art Space & Gallery
Contemporary artA quiet space for art research in the bustle of VeniceLocated a few steps away from Campo San Polo, in a charming 14th century courtyard, Beatrice Burati Anderson Art Space & Gallery was opened in 2017, by the art historian and curator who gave it her name. The 200 square metres of gallery space, a surprising sanctuary of peace along the most chaotic street in Venice, leads from the railway station to Rialto. It is situated inside an ancient warehouse, where tree trunks are used as beams and the floor is covered with sand, creating an atmosphere that holds the allure of the past. The gallery works with artists from different cultures and generations and as well as holding exhibitions is a research space, focusing on ethical issues and the relationship between arts and science, it also doubles up as a venue for performances and installation. In September 2021, Beatrice inaugurated the second of her Venetian galleries, this one in Calle de la Madonna. The two spaces have a dialogue through their water doors, which face each other on Rio de la Madoneta.
