Pottery under expert eyes

Marianne Seiz, the queen of Austrian ceramic tableware, offers weekly classes for beginners and advanced students the whole year round (except school holidays). The class includes working on the potter’s wheel, construction techniques, modelling, stacking techniques and glazing. Marianne is fond of people with their own ideas and concrete goals. Students can visit Marianne’s workshop on Tuesdays or Thursdays every week to work on their objects. As soon as the object is finished, the cost for materials and firing is billed. A trial lesson costs 38 euros, a block of three classes costs 114 euros, five classes costs 160 euros, materials and firing cost 17 euros per kg. Cancellation is free up to three days before the course, after that the full price must be paid. Please book ahead, since there is sometimes a waiting list.
