Enjoy a guided tour of a British embroidery house

Hand & Lock, the world-renowned specialist embroidery house, which has the Royal Family, top fashion houses, the Royal Forces and costume designers among its clients, opens its doors offering expert guided tours. Participants will get exclusive access to parts of the studio, located in central London, that aren’t usually open to the public. They will immerse themselves into the realm of the most refined traditional and modern embroidery, learning about the history of Hand & Lock and the ancient techniques still used today, discovering the secrets of goldenwork. Visitors will see key pieces held in their on-site archive and will also be shown live embroidery demonstrations. Tours can be tailored to specific interests and the price for students is 12 pounds per person.
