Where the stucco magic happens

Championing craftswomen working in the field of plaster and stucco, Iva Viana opens the doors of her atelier and studio in Viana do Castelo, Portugal’s unspoken capital for stucco workers. Starting first with the visit to her atelier, that opened in 2013 and where Iva displays her stucco panels, the master craftswoman will show you her studio, where she demonstrates how to make plaster, fill a mould and finally remove the piece. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see Iva’s creative refuge, where she experiments with fusing manual stucco proceedings with modern casting techniques.
