Monthly pottery classes

Paula Tapia offers classes for those who want to master the fundamental techniques of ceramic production and create pieces with their own identity and style. People with no prior knowledge can sign up to learn how to make utilitarian or ornamental objects using techniques such as wheel throwing, slab and coil constructions, as well as decoration and glazing procedures. Participants will have nine types of clay to choose from and will work with high-temperature pastes. Advanced apprentices can create textured works with silicate or experiment with other complex techniques. The course is 2 hours per week, or approximately 8 hours per month; the price is per month and includes the materials.
