The Expoartesanías Fair celebrates the hands that weave, mould and knit stories. Since 1990, when the fair was launched in Colombia by Corferias and Artesanías de Colombia, Expoartesanías has been an inclusive and diverse space that champions the traditions and cultural expressions of thousands of Colombian and worldwide artisans. For 14 days, this creative event brings together the most poignant members of the craft industry, presenting unique pieces full of skill and identity, which are the result of collective thinking, regional customs and diverse lifestyles.

Approximately 700 artisans participate annually in Expoartesanías. The exhibition space is organised into eight pavilions: Ethnic, Traditional, Home and Décor, Jewellery, Innovation and Design, Design Colombia, Traditional Cuisine and International. Visitors will be able to attend academic and cultural talks, artisan workshops and artistic exhibitions, and enjoy traditional music. Colombian artisans earn about 60 percent of their annual income at this fair. In the 2021 edition, sales amounted to USD 3.2 million and 49,433 people attended. At Expoartesanías 2022, which will be the 32nd edition of this event, the main motto is “Free your creative expression”.
