Learn traditional weaving techniques

Kristīne Ķepale creates textile designs for her brand Vuuven. With more than 10 years experience as a weaver, she invites anyone to learn weaving at her workshop in Sigulda, less than an hour away from Riga. The workshop doesn’t require any prior knowledge in weaving. Kristīne will teach you various traditional weaving techniques, and by the end of the class you will have made a scarf or a blanket on your own, on big, old wooden looms. Just like Vuuven creations, which are recognisable by their different textures and mix of contrasting materials, you will learn how to weave your scarf or blanket using diverse materials.
