Create your own hand painted Gzhel vase

This challenging workshop is your chance to make a hand painted Gzhel vase with a very personal touch and your own signature. You will paint a vase with the signature rose bouquet Ghzel pattern, under the guidance of one of the finest artisans of the manufactory. The blue colour made with cobaltous oxide, kaolin, silica and glycerine takes around 40 hours to prepare. Many of the classic Gzhel strokes have nicknames - eyelash, spring, whirl, drop-let, herringbone, flecks of sunlight. All together, they contribute to a magnificent floral decoration that you will recreate on the vase. The painted vase will then be glazed and fired in the kiln for you. You can collect it at the Gzhel flagship store after 2 weeks.
