Catherine is a specialist in the technique of raku, an exciting traditional ceramic technique which allows her to create one off pieces with unique glazed surfaces. Join Catherine in her large rural studio and experience a thrilling raku firing demonstration. Be amazed at the magical transformation as red-hot ceramics are taken from the kiln and smoked in sawdust to produce the distinctive raku crackle glaze. Visitors will also enjoy a tour of the studio and a cup of tea or coffee whilst the kiln is firing.
