Learn how to embroider in Galicia

Minia Banet Fraga has always explored new ways of mixing photography with embroidery. Today, she runs her workshops in different craft shops, tourist and cultural sites in Galicia, where she teaches students how to embroider on paper, photographs or postcards with needles, cotton fabrics and felted wool. Participants first practise on a cardboard template and then transfer images onto textiles to create embroideries – they can also bring their own photos. Trainees will learn French knot and backstitch and create a colour palette of their choice. They will finish the workshop with a piece of unique handmade embroidery, full of colour, textures and volumes.
