There is a saying about Suiti traditional folk costumes, known for their bright and contrasting colours: “If you don’t see a Suiti woman from a kilometre away, she’s not Suiti.” At Rija anyone has a chance to learn about these unique folk costumes and dress up in them. Alongside Suiti women, you will learn all the secrets and traditions behind their creations, and the meanings behind them. Suiti are firm believers in durability, so everything is handmade to be worn for many years. The experience of submerging in the contrasts of materials, colours and patterns will take you to another time and place.
