Make your own guitar

The goal of a guitar building course is to make your own guitar. Often a year is needed to complete a guitar. All aspects are taught from handling raw wood through to the finished instrument. Courses can be tailored to the individual’s wishes, depending on their skills and experience. They can build a guitar using their own design or opt for a classic model. Richard encourages his students to carry out as much of the making themselves with plenty of confidence building along the way. Besides learning to build a guitar, it is also possible to learn to become a professional guitar maker. More in-depth history is taught, facts on trees and where they grow, as well as how to sharpen a chisel.
