This sculptural paper piece is made from a single sheet of Indian Khadi paper. Lauren Collin uses surgical blades to carve into the thick paper layers, shaping it like a block of marble. The paper bas-relief is revealed by the ambient light. This piece is Lauren’s first round-shaped artwork; the circular composition is created by using a circular turning movement throughout the creation process, playing with light and shadows.
