Table Spline

The unique dining table is hand-carved from the robust solid French oak and finished with natural oil. The Spline table is halfway between furniture and sculpture; it moves away from the usual geometrical and rectilinear forms towards naturalist lines, in search of fluidity and continuity.

The creative work begins with a drawing, which gives rise to a clay model that enables the maker to be in contact with the material to shape the final project and allows for the introduction of an emotion. Measurements are then taken, and the object is visualised and edited in 3D software. From there, the cabinetmaker's know-how takes over, whereby strong and robust French oak wood is prepared, assembled and hand-carved to create the final object. The application of natural oils provides the finishing touch. The completed table gives the impression of a single piece of solid wood.
