This Murano glass mirror, carved, engraved and silvered by hand, puts in dialogue two cultures: that of Italy and Japan. Giovanni and Vincenzo Barbini found their grandfather’s drawing of an 18th-century Venetian mirror and recreated it replacing the engravings with Japanese landscapes, scenes of everyday life and significant characters from Japanese history. The Specchio Veneziano is an homage to the art of glass and the land of the Rising Sun.
