Pattern of Crafts

The wallpaper is hand-printed using the silk-screen printing technique. Three different colours are applied to the paper through three screens, building up the colour in the design with each additional layer.

Exhibition curator Sebastian Herkner took the geometric pattern of the terrace of the Basilica of San Giorgio, on San Giorgio Maggiore island, and invited selected master artisans to interpret this lace-like octagonal pattern in a graphic artwork.
