Master at work: Whip-crafting

Master leatherworker Mary Wing To will demonstrate elements of the traditional whip-making craft. The leather artisan will create a riding crop from start to finish, showcasing the techniques of precision hand cutting of the lace, plaiting the whip core, dyeing, and stitching the fine leather handle and flapper. Finishing off with a bespoke silver collar to adorn the whip.
