Grégoire Scalabre is a French ceramicist and sculptor. He draws much of his inspiration for his works from architecture, especially that of French monuments and industrial design. His work continuously pushes the limits of material and physical barriers. His latest works have drawn their inspiration from the combination of body movement and architecture. Scalabre’s thrown and wheel-turned creations are finished with an innovative marble dust, giving the pieces a mineral allure. He apprenticed at Atelier du Sage de Dieulefit in France and then continued his studies at the École Agir Céramique. From 2008 to 2010, he undertook a residency at the Manufacture National de Sèvres.
