The flower basket is handcrafted from bamboo and decorated with lacquer. The design for the basket is inspired by a relaxing beach scene in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture. Spirit is an ongoing theme in Noboru Fujinuma’s work, which he understands by the delicacy and strength of bamboo. When his spirit unites with the spirit of the bamboo, it communicates something to those looking at the works.
