Eduard Rosa

Mr. BoutonButton maker

Eduard Rosa started making fabric coated buttons as a self-made man in 1976 when the custom manufacture of such items was virtually non-existent in Czechoslovakia. Thirty years later he came across a vintage cord braided soutache button and it was love at first sight. Rosa learned the secrets of trade and thread winding step by step, with no tutorials, no artisans to consult, no specialty material suppliers. He took inspiration from historical costumes and combined the old craft with modern materials and variety of patterns. Now Eduard Rosa with his company Mr.Bouton is a proud supplier of unique handmade soutache buttons to theatres, operas or fashion designers in Europe.
