This elongated stoneware pot is made of slipware with oxide and lustre. In ancient times, people would dig clay from the soil near their homes to make pots. Emilie Taylor is proud to be part of this same British heritage of slipware potters. The decorations tell stories: from personal events to bigger political stories. She uses slipware in a contemporary way, making stories relevant to today.
