With its almost 300 year history, Ginori 1735, previously known as Richard Ginori, is par excellence the Italian name for artistic porcelain and a veritable icon of Italian style worldwide. Founded by Marquis Carlo Ginori in 1735 in Doccia, a small town just a few kilometers from the capital city of Italian Renaissance Florence, the Ginori 1735 manufacturer has been cultivating for centuries its exceptional expertise in the art of porcelain making, combining ongoing innovation and Italian creativity with the preservation of ancient techniques and crafts.

Ginori 1735 is today a maison of the luxury conglomerate Kering, which bought the brand and manufacturer in 2013 and entrusted the artist direction to Alessandro Michele. The renowned fashion designer took up the extraordinary legacy of many distinguished predecessors including Giò Ponti, one of the masters of Italian design and contemporary architecture, who covered the role of artistic director of the Richard Ginori manufacturer from 1923 to 1933 and created some of the most iconic collections of the brand.
