This wall sculpture is made of Teflon mesh, eco-resin and gold leaf. The name “The Path to the Centre” is a reference to the yin and yang thinking. The gold is inspired by the 寫经 (a Buddhist scripture copied with pure gold) and the royal attire of the Joseon Dynasty. The theme was symbolically expressed by gluing pure gold leaf to the Teflon mesh.

Wall piece made of Teflon mesh, eco-resin and gold leaf. It was created as an abstract expression of unconscious beings, such as air or stones. A thin Teflon film was glued to the mesh with an iron then the gold leaf was glued on.

This set of three wall pieces (GR-202103, GII-202109 and GII-202110) are made of Teflon mesh, eco-resin and gold leaf. Their shapes were inspired by the cardinal points. The colours express water and fire: symbols of life.

This is a wall sculpture made of Teflon mesh, eco-resin and pure gold-leaf. The object was made as a reference to the Chinese adage天圓地方 “Heaven is a Circle, Earth is a Square” expressed by Neolithic jade disks. Gold leaf is glued on the Teflon mesh and overlapped in five layers to express movement towards the centre. Black is for the universe and gold means eternity.

This sculpture is from a signature series that has been ongoing since 2006. Traditional Korean women lived by doing hard housework such as farming, making yarn, weaving, dyeing cloth and sewing clothes. These were passed down from generation to generation until Yeonsoon incorporated them into her artistic practice. The 3D structure is made of naturally dyed abacá fabric pieces, sewn together to make it stand on its own, giving the piece the name "Matrix" (08405).
