WERKSTATT:MÜNCHEN was founded in 1996 by Klaus Lohmeyer. With a background in philosophy, politics and music, Klaus turned to crafts, driven by his passion for raw materials such as silver and vegetable tanned leather. He studied silversmithing and goldsmithing at the prestigious Staatliche Berufsfachschule für Glas und Schmuck in Kaufbeuren and became a master craftsman who wished to celebrate artisanal beauty and industrial romanticism.

The finely crafted pieces of WERKSTATT:MÜNCHEN blend together meaning, function and timeless elegance. Drawing inspiration from contemporary culture, past memories and symbolism, Klaus aims to embellish people with their very own personality. The atelier is located in an old foundry where a skilled team works with passion and precision to create pieces that have a soul.
