This white stoneware bottle-shaped sculpture was hand turned on a potter’s wheel. A small gas burner was used to apply heat to the surface of the turned form, giving it its final torn texture. The sculpture was finally fired at 1200°C with a barium glaze coloured with copper oxide, giving it the final green hues.

This tall green hued stoneware bottle was shaped on a potter’s wheel and given its final brittle surface texture by applying intense heat with a small gas burner before firing it. The final shaped bottle was fired at 1200°C with Zinc and barium glazes coloured with copper oxide, giving the sculpture its green hue.

This stoneware sculpture was shaped on a potter’s wheel. The inspiration for the form came from the simple shape of a bottle. Once shaped, the sculpture was fired at 1200°C and decorated with a glaze containing copper oxide. This glaze gives a blue-green hue to the final fired sculpture.

This ceramic sculpture is made from white stoneware and terra sigillata. The finished sculpture was first fired at 1000°C and then finally smoke fired at 620°C. This final method of firing is done to give the sculpture its final shiny black surface colour.

This plate was hand thrown on a potter’s wheel using white chamotte stoneware. The final thrown form was then fired at 1210°C. Titanium and copper oxide were added in the zinc glaze to achieve this final colouration.
