These blue handmade ceramic donkeys are made with the aid of the lathe and are shaped following the width of the container. The animals, cooked at high temperature, are suspended on their small feet and have their tail in relief. Bright and shiny decorations are made with coloured crystalline. Each donkey is different from the other.

This ceramic sculpture is handmade with the aid of a lathe. It has some decorations in relief that represents roses and leaves, ears, nose and mouth. On the front edge of the sculpture there are four Kanthal wires (a ferritic alloy that has excellent resistance) with small pink ceramic hearts in suspension.

Handmade ceramic head with hair, mouth and nose in relief, while the face is smooth and uniform. The dark green hair surrounds the pink head in volutes with molded incisions. The head presents some “tears” (casting) in green.

These handmade vases, in different colours, were cooked at high temperature. They depict ceramic heads with nose, hair and mouth in relief. The small protuberances on the upper edge are a tribute to the Sicilian tradition and recall pine cones, a Sicilian symbol of hospitality and prosperity.

This ceramic sculpture has a nose, mouth and ears in relief engraved vertically. The facial finish is wrinkled and the tears are shiny green. In the Sicilian tradition the Prefica was a woman who was paid for taking part and crying in the funeral ceremonies.
