Conscious ceramics

  • • Patricia prioritises quality over quantity
  • • Through her pieces, she promotes a lifestyle that respects the environment
  • • She set up Blanc Ceramics on the seafront

Patricia García has always been drawn to music, arts and crafts. During her childhood summers, she remembers happily shaping small bowls out of clay on the shore of a lake. Patricia started making pottery at a very young age and continued taking classes during her teenage years in high school. Later, she enrolled in a ceramics school. Her desire to develop her creativity and express herself through this craft led her to set up her workshop, Blanc Ceramics, on the seafront in Montgat, a village twenty minutes away from Barcelona. There, she takes all the time she needs to think, imagine and create her pieces, always promoting an environmentally friendly lifestyle with her work, recycling all the excess of clay and reducing waste. "Handmade ceramic pieces have soul," she says, "I want to continue learning, evolving and being part of projects that enrich me."
