A childlike curiosity

  • • Marita enjoys practising new techniques
  • • Her pieces are inspired by fantasy
  • • She coats organic materials in silver

Marita Lumi's pieces are unique like her personality, that shines through all of her handmade jewellery. She loves to explore the different worlds of science through her work, by experimenting with organic materials, mixed in galvanoplastic through electroforming techniques. Yet, at the same time Marita masters the traditional fine work of installing stones, like zircons and even more precious gems into her pieces. A childlike curiosity is instilled in her nature, whilst she treads this magical field of precious metals. For her it’s a marvellous journey of exploration without an end, by combining the traditional artisan techniques with modern science.
