This backpack, the brother of the regular Amicus bag, is made using two kinds of leather. The front body part is made using a tumbled grain leather with a soft touch and the rest is made with Marco Lazzaroni’s classic Buttero vegetable tanned leather. The front flap locks securely with a solid brass buckle. The regular size features a laptop sleeve where you can fit a screen of up to 15 inches. It also features an interior pocket to fit your phone and wallet or other small items.

A sustainable Swiss approach

In 2015 Marco Lazzaroni decided to quit his job in accounting to focus on his new passion: handcrafted leather goods. He didn’t go into training, nor did he ask a master artisan to teach him his skills: he simply watched internet tutorials, read a lot, brought the right tools, turned his living room into an atelier and set off. A few years before Marco had launched a small fashion brand, but he had soon grown tired of the extenuating rhythm of the fashion world, and of the hyper-consumerism that comes with it. He wanted to create something unique, something that could last forever and could accompany an individual throughout the stages of life. Today Marco, with his brand VICUS, is a proud member of the Swiss Craftsmanship Federation.
