Renowned nationally and globally, since 1975 Louis Mulcahy’s collection of handmade pottery has been rooted in the Dingle Peninsula, West Kerry Gaeltacht, Corca Dhuibhne. Immersed in the rich culture and stark beauty of County Kerry’s land and seascapes, Louis and his son Lasse create high quality, handcrafted pieces with striking glazes that reflect the blue of the sea, browns of the hillsides and roaring red sunsets. From small beginnings as a two-person operation, the business now employs more than 30 people.

A visit to the pottery studio has become an essential experience in this area to browse, create and bring home a memory. Witness this craft first-hand with a detailed tutorial from an expert potter, or simply observe the masters at work with an eye-opening tour of the workshop. Then explore the vast collection from dainty posy jars to elegant lamp bases and ovenware to towering urns; all inspired by the beauty of the natural surroundings outdoors.
