This pendant consists of a cloud shape broken in half: one side pink, the other black, from which a silver drop emerges. It reflects hope in these times of social unrest, climate catastrophe and pandemic. Ingrid Schmidt wanted to remind people that we should know that in adversity there is also the seed of renewal. The drop of water, a symbol of life, opens our eyes to a new beginning.

Ingrid Schmidt originally studied textile design, so the aspect of textile textures and motifs to immortalise on the silver sheet with precious gold wire are always in her mind. This piece is made using the keum-boo technique, an ancient fusion technique from Korea.
