This triptych is the result of an experimental project by Daria Alyoshkina. Using the vytynanka paper cutting technique, she has created intricate images with a synthetic material. The project was developed for an open-air exhibition space and for theatrical productions.

The project was an initiative of the National Museum of History of Ukraine and is dedicated to the great composer, Mykola Leontovych.

The embroidered eggs, intricately handcut from paper and set on a black background, depict a woman in the centre, a reference to the women who historically decorated these eggs.

These intricately cut panels are dedicated to the Ukrainian science fiction writer Oles Berdnyk. The panels were handcut with a scalpel from synthetic materials. Contrary to tradition, they have not been placed on a background but rather against a window that lets light flood in through them, making their design apparent.
