This is a refractive three-part sculpture with clear and grey tinted optical glass. It was cut, polished and reconstructed. Coriolis was one of Anthony Scala’s first forays into very high accuracy cold working. All the elements in the piece had to be cold worked by hand to tolerances within a fraction of a millimetre and degree.

Annulum is an offshoot of the word ‘annulus’ which refers to a ring-shaped object, structure, or region. Annulum is a refractive sculpture comprised of four separate elements. The two clear segments have been offset against each other and then counterbalanced using a central core made from coloured optical glass.

An orrery is a mechanical model of the solar system that illustrates or predicts the relative positions and motions of the planets and moons. Anthony Scala has re-imagined the orrery through his stunning two-segment orrery perfume bottles of various colours.

The term spinnaker refers to a special sail which billows out from a wind powered craft. This refractive sculpture is made from clear and blue tinted optical glass. The base is made of blue optical glass and has a bone glue chipping effect.

Anthony Scala created this sculpture as his own homage to the fundamental quantum building blocks that make up our perceived universe. This is a refractive sculpture with a free blown hot glass inner core and a grey optical glass outer shell resting on a stainless-steel rotating base.
