When light takes shape

  • • Anne-Charlotte's works are distinguished by delicacy
  • • She is inspired by the lines and veins of plants
  • • Each creation is a unique piece

As a paper sculptor, Anne-Charlotte Saliba discovered the material during her studies of applied arts in environmental design. Paper helped her to experiment with her ideas. "I wanted to work with my hands," she explains. "Paper was much more within my economic reach. This, combined with the fact that the material offered me an incredible range of possibilities, gave me the chance to dedicate myself to this type of art craft". Not only paper, but also light, something that she already felt inside herself and that, applied to paper sculptures, results into unique creations: lamps either with geometric shapes or with sinuous movements that give lightness and elegance to the object and the environment in which it is placed.

Piléa wall light

The lampshade of the Piléa wall lamp is made by folding a single piece of paper. The use of the same fold creates facets and edges that reveal themselves according to the time of day. On its brass support, as if delicately placed on its stem, the leaf-like lamp diffuses light through its veins.

Lampes Boa

A light inspired by nature that awakens the imagination by plunging us into an earthly, aerial or abyssal universe. Its singularity is born through its moving skin made of paper scales that can be manipulated as one wishes.

Siphonophore géant et univers marin

This artwork depicting a giant Siphonophore is made of sculpted papers under glass in different formats. It is composed of small perforations and incisions, which play on the elasticity of the paper to create a relief. A volume grid is then drawn, a unique graphic design, punched, incised according to the movement of the hand on the paper.
