This square wooden box by Ann Karlholm is made of birch wood. Integrated in the wood is an orange leather strap with a metal buckle closure securing it.

A reinvention on the classic vase, these flower carriers with glass inserts are each differently shaped with the wood carved in different places. Ann Karlholm created a small series of vases complimenting each other while being unique in their making.

Ann Karlholm used ash on this occasion to create this solid platter in a square shape. Seven wooden battens are on top of two others, creating this 30 x 30-cm platter.

In this very different style of platter, Ann Karlholm created here a geometrical round airy platter. The colour of the wood is light and natural. With its fine battens creating the platter’s contour, the object resembles a scale model of the most delicate making.

This platter was made from blue oak. Ann Karlholm plays on the texture and colour of the wood with the top resembling burnt ashy wood, whilst the bottom retains its original colour. In the middle, a circle is carved in the wood to bring out the original colour of the wood and contrast with the blue stained surface.
