This ring materialises what inspiration means to Angelos Konstantakatos. He wanted to capture the initial creative explosion in his mind and the thousands of thoughts that follow. Some cords are pure so that they can move and some are stiff to keep the shape. The ring required a significant amount of experimentation with resin and flax, trying to maintain the same original flax colour for both, the treated cords and the pure ones.

Olindi is a brooch trying to show how someone or something different is usually ignored until a condition or a perspective changes. The red fruit is noticed because it is red. The fact that it is round, bigger and without thorns is less evident. Technically, the difficulty of this piece is that although all the metal parts are made of silver, every fruit swings as if hanging from a steel wire.

Blossom is a brooch made from a mushroom that to Angelos Konstantakatos looks like a flower. The three elements of the structure are made using three different techniques to work the resin. Yet, the whole looks like one. The beauty, as well as the difficulty of almost all the elements is that they are made in one single phase, and they cannot be modified or corrected if something goes wrong.

Differences is made from a mushroom. Conceptually it depicts the two faces of a man, two worlds, before and after, architecture and jewellery. Two that join into one, but remain different. It was the debut of an international exhibition of his own original technique of hardening an organic material, without changing its appearance and texture.

There are many aspects of this brooch that impress Angelos Konstantakatos, not least the 94 mm long dehydrated mushroom used as the central mounting piece. Only black was used, although you can also see white, grey and gold. It took one week to make the facade and four weeks to treat it from the back. When you see it in real life, you are sure the material is stone.
