Since 1982 Beate Sedlacek and Karl-Henning Hohmann have been designing bags and accessories made of leather under their label Ackermann. At the manufacturer located in the old industrial area of Lüneburg, the designs are realised by an experienced team of long-term employees. Today, Laszlo Hohmann, the son of the two company founders, has also taken on a key role at the Ackermann bag manufacturer. The strength of the design lies in its focus on the essential, with only two main ingredients: pure leather and clear forms.

This recipe allows for an unmistakable aesthetic and independent product lines. Therefore, longevity is not only embedded in the products by using excellent materials, outstanding manual know-how, but also through a corresponding durability of the design. The selection of materials, conscientious handicraft and design reduced to the essentials are at the core of the timeless Ackermann design. To guarantee the highest quality and an eco-friendly dying process, Ackermann primarily sources its leather from southern Germany treated with sustainable products.
