Baccarat Crystal

Founded in Lorraine in 1764, Baccarat is today the world’s most famous crystalworks and a symbol of superb craftsmanship and French Art de Vivre. The Baccarat manufacturer received its first royal commission in 1823, when Louis XVIII ordered a crystal service to be produced especially for him. From here on, a host of royals, presidents and heads of state; including Indian maharajahs, Russian tsars, the Japanese imperial court and US presidents, were enamoured by the elegance and excellence of the craftsmanship of Baccarat crystal.

With its storied heritage, a “Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres” and more “Meilleurs ouvriers de France” (Best French Craftsmen) than any other French luxury manufacturer to continue its artisanal tradition, Baccarat expresses creativity and expertise. A unique and timeless expertise, from handmade wheel engraving to brush-applied embossed gilding, transforms traditions into creations, ranging from tableware to lighting, from jewels to purely decorative pieces.
