A handy desk lamp, this piece can be placed in any position to allow light to shine from different angles or even to create a soft ambient light. Double Japanese paper, one of designer Jörg Gessner’s favourite materials, attached to an oak frame dims the light source. The lamp is one of many collaborative projects between ARCA Ebénisterie, founded by Steven, and Jörg Gessner.

This satchel was created using WooWood technology developed by the ARCA Ebénisterie workshop founded by Steven. The technique consists of setting marquetry on rubber. This flexible material enables the bag to adapt to the shape of the objects inside while maintaining its own shape. The bag was developed with Octave Grehal, a student designer from Ecole Boulle.

This tribute to a ladies’ dressing table combines solid wood with veneer (taken from the same tree), creating an interplay between fragility and strength. The sides, sculpted from solid wood, seem to wrap around the veneer-covered aluminium legs, which are designed to be as thin yet as solid as possible. The flap opens to reveal a curved mirror, sculpted ash “pockets” for storage and a push button to open a secret drawer.

Fuso is a chair that looks like a bouquet. The piece was developed as an experiment, using industrial rather than traditional cabinetry techniques. The idea was to adapt craft tools to industrial techniques, using 3D moulded oak divided up and recomposed before being fixed to steel legs, bringing lightness to the whole structure.
