Silk art inspired by flowers

  • • Gohar has her own technique of painting on silk scarves
  • • She enjoyed painting on clothes from an early age
  • • She teaches silk painting from her studio

Gohar Sargsyan is a multidisciplinary artist, whose signature is her silk scarves. Growing up in a family of artists, she was introduced to different arts and crafts at an early age. When she was a little girl, Gohar discovered she could paint on her clothes, she believes her journey as an artist started at that moment. She is continuously inspired by flowers, and in her works, you can see unusual forms of imaginary flowers, painted on delicate silk pieces. Each scarf Gohar creates is unique, and each has its own story to tell. As an artist, she had her first exhibition when she was in her late thirties, and she believes it's never too late to learn new craftsmanship or art skills.
