A new approach to a family tradition

  • • The printing technique Markus uses hasn’t changed for millennia
  • • His most famous customer is HRH The Prince of Wales
  • • He loves the lively history of his home region

Brought up in a family of traditional hand printers in rural Austria, Markus initially trained as a fashion designer in Vienna, before working for famous fashion brands in Paris (Castel Bajac, Kenzo) and Sydney (Harry Who). On the verge of what might have been a successful international career, a visit to his home town changed his plans. When he found out his mother wanted to shut down her workshop, Markus knew at that moment that he had to make a decision. He chose to stay true to his family roots and ultimately became the most modern and innovative traditional block printer in Austria.
