The Kingsley is crafted around a recommissioned heritage Omega calibre from the 1950s that has been salvaged from the bullion industry and restored by the Struthers. It can be made to order in sterling silver or 18k gold with a range of dial options. Every watch is made to measure by hand, a process that takes three to four months.

Walking into Craig and Rebecca Struthers's workshop feels like stepping back a century in the history of horology. At the turn of the 20th century, some 30,000 people worked in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter; now, only a few hundred remain. Rebecca and Craig met in 2004 whilst training as watchmakers at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design. Between them they have qualified in watchmaking, jewellery making, silversmithing, fine art, gemology and the history of design. Together, they create a fusion between traditional fine craftsmanship and 21st century technology. Their first watch, Stella, won a Design Innovation Award for groundbreaking design in platinum and a Commendation from the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council.

Stella
The Struthers’ first watch, Stella, was awarded the Lonmin Design Innovation Award for its groundbreaking design in platinum. It also received a commendation from the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council in 2014. It was created to push the boundaries of self-winding watch design. This pioneering pendant watch is powered by the movement of the case rather than the wrist.

The Carter
Built around a recommissioned English movement from the 1880s, the Carter can be made in silver, bi-metal or gold. It has been modified to include a functioning Breguet parachute shock setting and features a swivelling bow. Every case is handcrafted in sterling silver as standard. Each piece is made on commission, allowing a wide range of customisations.

The Kingsley – Deakin & Francis edition
Watch dial enamelling is a critically endangered craft in the UK so the Struthers collaborated with the UK’s oldest goldsmiths, the family company Deakin & Francis, with whom they share their workshops, to create this unique edition of the Kingsley.

Struthers Kullberg edition
Designed from scratch, starting with a hand rendered illustration, this project began with a pair of ornately engraved vintage Beretta shotguns and a list of ideas from the client for inspiration. This marked the beginning of two years of conversations, meetings in the Struthers’ workshops and regular updates with design options for their client at every step.
