One of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen, dating back to 1616, is home to the Royal Copenhagen flagship shop. Opened in 1911 at Amagertov 6, in the heart of the city, the boutique is not just a shop but also a living museum which showcases Royal Copenhagen’s fine porcelain craftsmanship and enduring respect for tradition, whilst also illustrating how the company has spearheaded Nordic design and contemporary craftsmanship since the beginning. Collections on display include masterpieces such as the sumptuous Flora Danica and Blue Fluted pieces, with their slender, refined cobalt blue flowers on a white background, all of them meticulously hand painted.
