Learn about the preciso
30 minutes 25-30 people5 eurosTucked away in the Cadiz mountains in Spain, this workshop introduces the value of a preciso and explores its importance to the leather industry. A small wallet with a strap that attaches to the waistband of trousers, a preciso (a "necessary” in Spanish) was traditionally used to store tools to light a fire. It consists of a plate, pin and leather strap. In the Hands and Magic in Leather workshop, visitors will learn the manufacturing process of a preciso and take one home as a souvenir. Thanks to this workshop, a piece of history has regained its prominence, making visitors a part of the history of Ubrique.
